Rethinking Activism Festival (https://rethinkactivism.org/) is a workshop and a happening which lasted for 3 days. In this festival people became part of the WallHands workshop, which was an experiment and a prototype for the Clay Hands artwork. It consisted in putting handprints in plaster and casting them in concrete; and then painting the result and putting it up on one of the columns of The Coal Bridge (Kulbroen).
In total 65 participants contributed to this art experiment. It is very important for us that citizens get involved in such art projects as they bring cohesion to the community and show that people enjoy being creative and taking part in artistic events.
This project was launched by Beatriz Gonzalez Rodriguez (more information about this artist here https://hewadesign.com/).
